How to Keep Your Skylight Clean

Take up with you a dry rag and a sponge soaked in the same soapy water as before. Use the dry rag to brush away dust that has accumulated on the skylight. Then, wash the glass using straight horizontal and vertical movements with the sponge.

If you discover that your skylight has any tough stains caused by bird droppings or tree sap, return to the ground and bring up a clean rag soaked in the water and vinegar solution. You’ll then need to clean the window again with soap to remove any residue. Finally, spray the skylight with a hose from ground level and allow the window to air dry.
